Monday, July 7

• The Pulaski Co. Extension Homemakers are again hosting the annual “For Kids Only Fashion Show” at the Pulaski County Fair. The fashion show will be held at 7:00 p.m. on the Entertainment Stage at the fairgrounds.  Entry forms are due at the Extension Office by June 30th.  Either the model or the seamstress must reside in Pulaski County.  These entries can also be entered in Open Class on July 5th at the Community Center from 8:30-noon.

• The Pulaski County 4-H Parade presented by the Winamac Kiwanis Club will be held Tuesday July 8, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. Entry forms can be obtained at Marita R. Grisel, CPA Office: 602 S. Monticello St., Winamac or by calling Rick or Marita Grisel at 574-946-6796 or 574-946-6166. Deadline for entries is Thursday July 3, 2008.

• The next meeting for V.I.P. (Visually Impaired People) will be held today at 1:00 p.m. EDT in the Von Toble Center, 115 W. Pearl St., Winamac. Anyone with vision problems and other visitors, are always welcome to attend.  We will be celebrating the first birthday of V. I. P. For transportation in Pulaski County: 574-946-6500. Tuesday July 15

• Pulaski County Human Services, Inc. will present a Community Workshop to learn about good health education, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment from 12 – 1 p.m. EST at the West Side Center, 125 S. Railroad St., Medaryville.

Presentations by: Sherry Fagner, Environmental Health Specialist, who will discuss symptoms, warning signs and health education and  Judy Kopka, County Health Nurse, staying healthy with disease prevention education.

Community Workshops are funded by Title III Older Americans Act and sponsored by Northwest Indiana Community Action. Agency Arrowhead Country Public Transit available. RSVP by Monday noon if you would like lunch. Call 946-6500 Cheryl or 843-5600 Connie.

• Northern Indiana Power from the Past will be held at the Winamac Town Park.

• Farmer’s Market begins May 31 from 8 a.m. to noon across from the Isis Theater in Winamac. Fresh seasonal vegetables.

• The WHS/WCHS Alumni Association is requesting address changes be mailed to PO Box 251, Winamac, IN 46996 or emailed to winamacalumni@yahoo.com.

• First Baptist Church Winamac, IN, Faith Bible Institute is now accepting applications for Fall of 2008. Early enrollment deadline is July 1st. Course descriptions are The Separate Kingdoms of Israel and Judah, New Testament Epistles II and Doctrine of Salvation. Call 574-946-4476 for more information.
