Former Pulaski County Sheriff turns himself in

Former Pulaski County Sheriff Michael Gayer has turned himself in at Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office this morning after a warrant was issued for his arrest Tuesday evening. 
Gayer faces six felony charges and one misdemeanor after a grand jury indicted him on Tuesday afternoon. 
Gayer faces two counts of theft, three counts of official misconduct, obstruction of justice and deception. 
An investigation into questionable accounting practices began shortly after Pulaski County Sheriff Jeff Richwine took office in 2015.
Along with the seven counts Gayer faces, the former chief deputy Ron Patrick faces 11 charges including five counts of theft, four counts of official misconduct, obstruction of justice, and deception. 
A warrant has been issued for Patrick’s arrest.
