Linda L. Braun

 April 25, 1944 - June 25, 2008

Linda L. Braun, 64, of 2339 Oak Tree Circle, Winamac, died June 25, 2008 at Pulaski Memorial Hospital in Winamac. She was born April 25, 1944, in Winamac, the daughter of Theodore and Doris Keys.

Linda was a member of the Winamac Church of the Nazarene. She was the co-founder of the Braun Corp. in Winamac. After raising five children, Linda went on to do fundraising for the Cancer fund and the Heart fund. She was a generous contributor to local schools and the CASA Program. Linda loved to travel. She especially enjoyed traveling the NASCAR racing circuit. Linda also enjoyed traveling with her children and grandchildren and mother. Linda was a wonderful, loving, amazing and generous person.

Survivors include: her mother, Doris Winters of Largo, Fla. and Winamac, two daughters: Cherie Braun-Diaz of Seminole, Fla., Melissa Haley of Winamac; three sons: Todd Braun of Mooresville, N.C., Brent Braun of Winamac, Drew Braun of Belleair Beach, Fla.; eight grandchildren: Jacob Forker, Brittney Braun, Nathan Diaz, Alison Diaz, Quentin Haley, Justin Haley, Caitlin Haley, Brady Braun; her special friend, Michael Galbreath, and her beloved dog and travel companion, Miso. She was preceded in death by: her father, Theodore Keys; a sister, Rebecca Jensen; her step father, Robert O. Winters.

Funeral Services were held at Winamac Church of the Nazarene in Winamac on June 29, 2008 with Pastor Denny Wilson officiating. Burial took place in the McKinley Memorial Gardens Cemetery located in Winamac.

Memorial Contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society.
