Cord Jefferey Colgrove

April 12, 1981 — March 3, 2017

Cord Jefferey Colgrove, 35, of Knox, passed away on March 3, from gun violence in the 1400 west block of CR 400 S. in North Judson, Starke County. 

Cord was born in Winamac on April 12, 1981, to Jefferey and Millissa (Glasson) Colgrove. 

Cord was a graduate of Winamac Community High School in 1999. He was a tattoo artist, handyman, mechanic, bartender, and spent a lot of time fishing and hunting with his Uncle Brad [Sharon] Glasson, an all-around great guy. He will be missed by many and never forgotten.

Survivors include his father Jefferey [Cheryld] Colgrove of Florence, South Carolina; brother Shae [Colleen] Colgrove of Wadesville; sisters: Millissa Murdoch of Chicago, and Lindsey Colgrove of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; stepbrother Kyle [Megan] Rhodes of Clarksville, Tennessee; stepsister Katie [Eric] Wildermuth of Indianapolis; nieces and nephews: Zachary Colgrove, Jacob and Myranda Murdoch, Deegan and Kinsley Podell, Emily Rhodes, and Cayne and Collyn Miller; and many aunts, uncles and friends.  

He was proceeded in death by his mother Millissa (Glasson) Colgrove; grandparents: Garry and Betty Colgrove and John F. and Sue Glasson; uncles: Clay Glasson and Russell Langley; cousin Clay Langley; best friend Joey Krulik; and Isabelle.

A celebration of life will be held for Cord on Saturday, March 18, 3-7 p.m., at the VFW in Winamac, 1066 S. Monticello St.
