Glen A. Ward
Glen A. Ward, 77, of Thornhope, passed away peacefully at 1:58 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 8, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Born on April 24, 1940, in Dorothy, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Henry and Mamie (White) Ward.
Glen was a U.S. Army veteran.
On Oct. 24, 1999, he married Marlene Frye.
He retired in 2004 from Winamac Coil & Spring in Kewanna.
Glen was a member of the Logansport Church of the Nazarene, American Legion and the V.F.W. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and mushroom hunting.
Survivors include his wife Marlene Ward of Thornhope; brothers: Dean Ward of Crown Point, and Marvin [Linda] Ward of Tennessee; sisters: Babe Kopaczewski of Crown Point and Carol [Tom] Wolf of California; and the son he never had Randy St. Denis of Thornhope. He is also survived by his beloved pets: Gracie the cat, Haley the chicken and Jade the dog.
He was also preceded in death by sisters: Enal Cantly, Opal Fraze and Bernease Stonebraker.
A celebration of Glen’s life and military rites will be conducted at 7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 12, at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home, Royal Center Chapel with visitation from 5 p.m. until the time of the service.
