John Robert Ulery

John Robert Ulery, 70, of Lake Jackson, Texas, passed away on Nov. 26. 

He was born on Oct. 18, 1950, in North Manchester, to Robert Leon and Doris L. (Grossnickle) Ulery. John graduated from Logansport High School and Tri-State College. He worked as a civil engineer, building power plants all over the world. 

He is survived by his daughter Elizabeth [Darren] Merritt of Lake Jackson, Texas; four grandchildren; father Robert Leon Ulery of Star City; sister Susan [Norman] Pollock of Decatur; brother Danny Lee [Sandra] Ulery of Pinnacle, North Carolina; several nieces and nephews; and maternal uncle Roger [Sue] Grossnickle of Hoagland. 

He was preceded in death by his mother Doris L. (Grossnickle) Ulery. 

Private burial will take place at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in North Manchester.
