Kimberly Wayne Jones

Kimberly “Kim” Wayne Jones, 62, of Leiters Ford, passed away at 12:33 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, at his residence.

He was born in Logansport, on Jan. 1, 1956, to Worley Wayne and Duana (Pressler) Jones.

Kim joined the United States Navy on July 27, 1973, and was honorably discharged March 31, 1977.

Prior to being honorably discharged from the Navy, Kim married Terry Jean Park on Feb. 5, 1977, in Gloucester City, New Jersey. She survives.

Kim loved fishing, racing and hunting. He was a past member of the VFW Post 1121 in Kewanna. He expressed his love for his grandkids by pounding fists with them. 

Surviving is his loving wife of 41 years Terry Jean Jones of Leiters Ford; their fur babies Bella and Baby; father Worley Wayne Jones of Kentucky; son Randy [Danielle] Jones of Rochester; daughters: Melissa Keller of Rochester, and Nicole [Dustin] Sullivan of Rochester; his loving grandchildren; Tyler, Haley, Abigail, Ayden, Dustin Jr., Trae and Skylr; sister Karen Rice of California; brother Kevin [Lisa] Jones of Delphi; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his mother Duana Jones; and a brother-in-law Jerry Rice.

Friends visited with the family from 1 p.m. until time of service on Saturday at the church. A celebration of life service was at 4 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 29, at the Leiters Ford United Methodist Church, 7603 Main St., Leiters Ford. Pastor Emily Gearhart officiated. A meal was provided following the service in the community building.
