Larry L. Link

March 30, 1948 — May 9, 2019

Larry L. Link, 71, of Winamac, passed away at 12:17 p.m. Thursday, May 9, at IU University Hospital in Indianapolis. 

Larry was born on March 30, 1948, in Denham, to the late Raymond Harold and Myrtle F. (Cole) Link. He was a 1966 graduate of Francesville High School. On Oct. 20, 1973, Larry married Marcia Skinner at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in Lake Bruce. In 2013, Larry retired after 36 years of service to the Winamac schools. After retirement, he continued working at the school as a crossing guard for six years. 

Larry was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. He enjoyed going to garage sales and collecting antiques. He also enjoyed having garage sales where he loved talking to everyone; he did not know a stranger. 

Larry was a gentle giant, a loving and kind man, a wonderful husband and a truly amazing dad and papaw. He will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his wife Marcia (Skinner) Link of Winamac; son Brandon Link of Winamac; daughter Jodi [Reuben] Smith of Winamac; granddaughters: Kiara King, Cy’Anne Wooten, Toniya Link, Amiya Link, Sadie Pogue and Shaylynn Pogue; grandson Tra’ohn Link; brother William J. [Vera] Ward of Valparaiso; sister-in-law Mary Sue Link of Winamac; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond Harold and Myrtle F. (Cole) Link; and brother Donald R. Link.

Visitation was from 4-8 p.m. Monday, May 13, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 14, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac. Pastor Ed Trusty officiated. Burial took place at McKinley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Winamac.
