Mary Louise Gross-Conley

Aug. 27, 1924 — Feb. 13, 2017

Mary Louise Gross-Conley, 92, of Frankfort, and formerly of Winamac, died at 1:35 p.m., Monday, Feb. 13, at St. Vincent Frankfort Hospital.

Mary was born Aug. 27, 1924, in Kirklin, to Hurlis Wayne and Louisa Mae (Grey) Peak.

She married Bernard R. “Ben” Gross on July 7, 1961, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 4, 1990.  She then married Claude Conley and he preceded her in death.

Mary attended Kirklin High School.  She worked for General Motors for 28 years.  She was a member of the Winamac Catholic Church.  Mary volunteered at Good Samaritan, was volunteer of the year and also volunteered at the hospital and the senior center and worked on REACT. 

Mary is survived by her brother Charles [Jeanette] Peak of Frankfort; sister Geneva Lashbrook of Frankfort; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by five sisters; and a brother.

Graveside services were 1:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, at Riverbank Cemetery in Winamac.
