Michael Allen Davis

July 23, 1969 — Feb. 24, 2019

Michael Allen Davis, 49, of Monterey, formerly of California, passed away Sunday, Feb. 24, at his residence in Monterey. 

Michael was born on July 23, 1969, in Indianapolis, to Walter G. and Patty A. (Dawson) Davis. 

Michael served in the U.S. Navy during Operation Desert Storm on the USS Kitty Hawk. He had worked in a variety of different jobs over the years and was very good at all of his tasks. He was a true “Renaissance man.” Michael was a talented artist who loved to fish and to hunt arrowheads. Michael loved being on the water and playing pool. He traveled across the United States nine times. 

Michael will always be remember for saying “Remember the little things. Live life. No regrets.” 

He is survived by two adult children: Heather Davis of Howe, and Justice Davis of Fayetteville, North Carolina; grandchildren: Triston and Lillian; mother Patty A. Davis of Summerfield, Florida; sister Robin [Bill] Reinhold of Monterey; and his nieces, nephews and great-nephew. 

He was preceded in death by his father Walter G. Davis; and sister Melody Garrison. 

Visitation will be from 2-3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac. Funeral services will be follow at 3 p.m. at Frain Mortuary. Burial will be in the Riverside Memorial Cemetery in Monterey. Military graveside services will be held.
