Nancy Adeline (Moore) Foerg
Nancy waited for Jesus to take her by the hand and lead her home. He did so on Sept. 29 at 4:47 p.m. She passed away at Hickory Creek at Winamac.
On Jan. 19, 1933, Nancy was born on the family farm in Monterey, to the late Harley D. and Ellen (Riggs) Moore. As a young girl, she loved to dance and roller-skate. Nancy graduated from Winamac High School in 1951.
While raising her family of five, she also enjoyed mowing and flower gardening. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Winamac. Later in life, Nancy had time to do embroidery and picture puzzles. In the last eight years she enjoyed the nurses, aides, administrators, cooks, maintenance people and residents of Hickory Creek at Winamac who had become her extended family.
Nancy will be sadly missed by her loving family and all those who knew her.
Survivors include her son Raymond [Julie] Foerg of Winamac; daughters: Linda [Darl] Fritz of Winamac, Karen Allen of Willow Springs, North Carolina, Mary [John] Cargo of Beardstown, and Sandi [James] Mohler of Litchfield, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; brother Arthur [Joyce] Moore of Monticello; sisters-in-law: Elverta Moore of Rochester, and Alice Moore of Walkerton; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by parents Harley D. and Ellen (Riggs) Moore; brothers: John D. Moore, Charles Moore, Lewis Moore, Ralph Moore, Robert Moore and Wilbur Moore; and infant sister Ester Pauline Moore.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac, with Rev. John Cargo officiating. Burial will take place at Athens-Mt. Hope (Hoovers) Cemetery in Athens.
