Otto John Wuethrich

Dec. 29, 1935 — Aug. 6, 2016

Otto John Wuethrich, 80, of Francesville, went to be with the Lord Saturday morning Aug. 6, at Peabody Memory Care Center in North Manchester. For the past year Otto had received loving care in the skilled dementia unit at Peabody.

Otto was born on Dec. 29, 1935, in Francesville to the late Herman “HC” and Lauretta (Norr) Wuethrich. He lived his entire life in Francesville and was a graduate of Francesville High School in 1954. On July 18, 1954, Otto married his high school sweetheart, Donna Rockwell. She survives. His oldest son, Jerry Lee, preceded him in death on Nov. 11, 1982.

Otto had been a member of the Francesville Apostolic Christian Church since 1972.

Otto was involved in farming and farm management and was also a realtor and auctioneer. He was on the Parkview Haven building committee and Pulaski Memorial Hospital board for several years.

Otto loved having his children and grandchildren at the lake house for more than 25 years of blessed family memories together. His great-grandchildren were a blessing to him and the family is eagerly awaiting the addition of a new great-grandchild.

Otto was an avid fisherman and golfer. During his retirement years, Ft. Myers, Florida, was home for Otto and Donna for several months out of the year. Many happy times were spent there with cherished friends of like-minded faith.

Also surviving are his daughters: Diane [Dennis] Carson of West Lafayette, and Suzanne [Duane] Schieler of West Lafayette; sons: Scott [Colleen] Wuethrich of Francesville, and Tim [Sally] Wuethrich Sr. of Francesville; grandsons: Nick [Colleen] Carson, Ben Carson, Chad Schieler, Curt [Ariel] Schieler, Henry Wuethrich, Simon Wuethrich, Tim [Rebekah] Wuethrich Jr., Logan [Marissa] Wuethrich, and Max Wuethrich; granddaughters: McKailey Carson, Amy Schieler, Ingrid Wuethrich, Ivy [Jake] Reese, Mercy Wuethrich, Grace [Kyle] McNeil, Cassie Wuethrich; great-grandsons: Gabriel Schieler and Jacob Schieler; great-granddaughters: Everleigh Wuethrich and Winnie Wuethrich; sisters: Chrisann [Edison] Gutwein of Francesville, Mary Gramm of Leo, Karen [Ed] Bowers of Lakeland, Florida, and Betty [Charles] Lyons of Wabash; sister-in-law Joanne [David] Huber of Upland; and several nieces and nephews.
