Susan D. “Sue” Weinacker

Feb. 9, 1952 — May 4, 2021

Susan D.“Sue” Weinacker, 69, of Winamac, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 4 at her home. 

She was born on February 9, 1952, in Melrose Park, Illinois, to the late Robert and Garlane “Micky” Cooper.

On July 17, 1976, she married Martin J. Weinacker. He passed away on December 17, 2003. Sue was a lifelong homemaker, and she enjoyed cooking, drawing, coloring, fishing, dancing and watching old movies. 

She is survived by her children: Debra [Tony] Kundert of Wisconsin, Patrick [Joan] Weinacker of Illinois and Kerry [Bo] Disinger of Winamac; sister Kim [Brian] Jenkner of Illinois; grandchildren: Melanie [Mathew], Vincent [Renea], Katrina [Michael], Nicole [Nando], Renee [Jeff], Tina Marie [Joe], Timmy [Brittany], Jamie [Brittany], Daniel [Sara], Kayla [Derek], Dennis, Erin, Daryl Jr. and Charlie; and so many great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. 

She was also preceded in death by her daughters: Char [Don] Catizone and Terri [Dave “Big Dave”] Chaples; brothers: Jimmy Nichloff, Stevie Nichloff and Bobby Derry; sister Donna Rodriguez; daughter-in-law Sue Weinacker;  and grandchildren Johnnie [Jessica] Catizone and David “Little Dave” Chaples. 

A celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date, in Lake County, Indiana.
