Terry L. Stevens

March 24, 1957 — Aug. 14, 2016

Terry L. Stevens, 59, a beloved resident of Francesville, passed away at 2 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 14, at home surrounded by his family. 

Terry was born on March 24, 1957, in Monticello, to James and Edith Stevens. He was a 1975 graduate of West Central High School. In 1979, Terry received his bachelor’s degree at University of Indianapolis. That fall on October 20, he married the love of his life, Linda Hale, in Wheatfield. She survives.

Terry was a member of the Francesville First Christian Church where he served in many roles, most recently as treasurer. 

Terry had worked at Alliance Bank for nearly 30 years and was currently serving as bank president and CEO. His bank family was very important to him.

Terry enjoyed golfing. He was an avid Chicago White Sox fan. He was a true family man who especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed. 

Survivors include his wife Linda L. (Hale) Stevens of Francesville; son Brett [Jen] Stevens of Indianapolis; daughter Lindsey [Justin Kletz] Howat of Francesville; granddaughter Mallory Howat; grandson Hunter Howat; mother Edith Kenyon Stevens of Francesville; brothers: Mark [Malva] Stevens of Francesville, Gary [Barb] Stevens  of Culver and Bruce [Janis] Stevens of LaPorte; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Stevens.

Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17, at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel, Francesville, and one hour prior to service at the church Thursday.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 18, at Francesville First Christian Church, with Pastor James Ketchen officiating. 

Burial will take place at Roseland Cemetery, Francesville.

Memorial contributions may be given to a scholarship fund for West Central High School graduates established in Terry’s name at Alliance Bank, with checks payable to West Central Schools Educational Foundation. 

Arrangements have been entrusted to Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel, Francesville.
