William “Mike” Michael Killian

March 3, 1955 — July 2, 2021

William “Mike” Michael Killian, 66, of North Fayetteville, Pennsylvania, formerly of Winamac, passed away on Friday, July 2. Mike was born on March 3, 1955, in Lafayette to the late Joseph William and Verna Mae Killian. 

Mike was raised Catholic and grew up on a farm. He graduated from Harrison High School in Lafayette and attended Purdue University. He also served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Mike enjoyed playing darts, listening to music, and cooking. He was an avid sports and racing fan. Mike will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.   

He is survived by his brother Thomas L. Killian of Lafayette; sister Juanita F. Leming of Havana, Illinois; stepson Aaron M. Ewing of Belgium; stepdaughters: Amy M. Berkshire of DeMotte and Alyssa M. Owens of Indianapolis; and several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his father Joseph William Killian; mother Verna Mae (McKinney) Olson Killian; wife Barbara L. Killian; fiancée Margaret A. Puhalla; and brothers: Kenneth J. Olson and Ralph J. Killian.

Graveside services with military honors will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 31 at Rochester IOOF Cemetery in Rochester with Rev. Leroy Kinnaman officiating.  

Burial will take place at Rochester IOOF Cemetery in Rochester.

Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with final expenses.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Frain Mortuary in Winamac.
