Legal Notice of Adoption of Preliminary Tax Abatement Resolution and Public Hearing: Starke Solar, LLC, d/b/a/ Mammoth Solar

Notice is hereby given to the taxpayers of Pulaski County, Indiana, that the Pulaski County Council did on 9 August 2021 adopt a Preliminary Resolution, 2021-09, designating as an Economic Recovery Area (ERA), for a period of forty years, approximately 9,205.33 acres in Beaver, Franklin, Jefferson, Monroe, and Rich Grove Townships for the purpose of achieving assessed-value deduction (property-tax abatement) in connection with redevelopment or rehabilitation activities for the purposes of generating electricity from solar energy and supporting such generation efforts

A map and description of the affected areas and a copy of the Preliminary Resolution are available at the County Assessor’s office (upper floor) or County Auditor’s office (main floor) in the Pulaski County Courthouse, 112 East Main Street, Winamac, and can be inspected there during regular business hours.

On Monday, 25 October 2021, at 7:00 p.m. EDT, in the meeting room of the Pulaski County Highway Department garage, 1131 North U.S. Highway 35, Winamac, the Pulaski County Council will conduct a public hearing to receive and to hear all remonstrances and objections, if any, to this designation and to a proposed assessed-value deduction for the proposed solar-energy project, and to take final action regarding the findings of the Preliminary Resolution and either to award or to deny property-tax abatements as requested by Starke Solar, LLC, and described in a Statement of Benefits.
