• VFW Flag Fund Raiser - Each year, local groups honor the memory of those who have passed by placing flags on the graves of men and women who served to secure our freedom. A fund was established several years ago to support this endeavor. It is imperative that we remember and honor these veterans. Although their sacrifices are invaluable, the flags and the fund that supports them require financial support. Unfortunately, the fund has been depleted due to reliance on private donations. Regular Programs:
• Kids can use their imaginations to make amazing creations with Legos at Lego Builders on Mondays from 3:30 to 6.
• Come in for Story Time and activities for toddlers on Toddler Tuesdays at 10:30. If you can’t make it in the morning, Afternoon Story Time is held on Tuesdays at 5:15 p.m. We also have Saturday Story Times at 10 and 11:30.
• Are you new to Genealogy? Not sure where to start? Come to Genealogy Help on Tuesdays from 3 to 5, when Malissa is on hand to help you use the library’s genealogy collection. This weekly program is held upstairs in the Delores “Dee” Galbreath Local History Room.
• The library shows a Family Movie suitable for all ages every Wednesday at 3. Visit the library’s website to see what is playing on a particular date.
• On Thursday mornings at 10:30, Duplo bricks and larger blocks are available for toddlers to play with at Toddler Legos.
• The library’s collection of Board Games for all ages is available on Thursdays after school.

Come to a free Lunch & Learn about Medicare & SHIP on Wednesday, September 23rd at 11:30 a.m. A SHIP (State Health Insurance Assistance Program) navigator will be here to speak about Medicare’s upcoming open enrollment. • What animal is Indiana’s only native marsupial? The opossum! Join Shelley from the Pulaski County Soil & Water Conservation District on Wednesday, September 23rd at 3 p.m. for All About Opossums, an after-school program where kids will learn fun and surprising facts about these misunderstood critters and make a take-home craft.
• Join instructor Jennifer Weinert on Thursday, September 24th at 10 a.m. for “From Sticks to Figure,” an adult drawing class focused on capturing the human figure in three simple steps. All skill levels are welcome. Call the library at 574-946-3432 to sign up.

America’s 250th Birthday Youth Art Contest during the Kewanna Fall Festival - Kids of all ages are invited to participate in a Youth Art Show that will take place during the Kewanna Fall Festival on September 25-27. The theme for the art contest will be in honor of America’s 250th Birthday. Jennifer Weinert, local artist, will be conducting an art class for the Teens & Tweens on Tuesday, September 1 4-5 and a second art class for younger children on Thursday, September 3, 4-5. Both classes will be held in the Kewanna Union Township Public Library.
2026 Kewanna Fall Festival Book & Movie Sale - Kewanna Union Township Public Library will be hosting a Book & Movie Sale on Sat., Sept. 26 from 9 am-2 pm during the Kewanna Fall Festival. Everyone is welcome to come and select books of their choice from our book & movie sale collection. We have books for all ages. Stop in and pick out a bagful!
Back to the Past “Our Kewanna” - Local historian, Bob Clyde, will continue his discussion of Kewanna history in Kewanna Union Township Public Library. Back to the Past: “Our Kewanna” will be held on Wednesday, September 30 @ 1. Back to the Past is always on the last Wednesday of the month @ 1.
Coffee & Tea Time is held @ 12:30 every Wednesday morning. Plan to attend our Coffee @ Tea Time enjoying time with your neighbors and friends and then stay for Back to the Past “Kewanna”.
