The Medaryville Town Council is determined to see cleaner yards in the town as they are reviewing the trash ordinance and deciding what the next step is.
Town councilman Robert Schultz started the trash talk as he asked town marshal Brian Gaillard for a status report during a regular council meeting on Dec. 16.
Seven letters have been mailed to residents regarding the trash in their yards.
According to the ordinance, the violator will be fined a minimum of $50 per day. Additional fines could occur if the town recoups money spent on removing the trash.
