Shelley A. Swartzell
Shelley Ann Swartzell, 61, of Winamac, passed away Thursday, Oct. 16, at Parkview Health Hospital in Ft. Wayne. Shelley was born on July 25, 1964 in Winamac to Jeffrey Lynn and Georgia Joesta Lebo Swartzell.
Shelley had worked at GL Perry, Doggies Deli and Sanders Grocery in Winamac over the years.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Winamac and enjoyed attending services there.
Shelley enjoyed playing Bingo at Hickory Creek. She also liked to watch the Hallmark Channel and visit with family and friends.
Despite her physical challenges, Shelley always had a positive attitude and a smile on her face.
She is survived by sons: Nathan Daniel Swartzell, Winamac and Matthew Jonathan Swartzell, Winamac; parents: Jeffrey Lynn and Georgia Joesta Lebo Swartzell, Winamac; brother William R. Swartzell, Winamac; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Preceded in death by brother Jeffrey Brian “JB” Swartzell; paternal grandparents: Robert and Esther Lavon Swartzell; maternal grandparents: Vernal and Thelma Lebo; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation was from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25 at Frain Mortuary in Winamac.
Services were held at 1 p..m., on Saturday, Oct. 25, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac, with Pastor Mark Pilger officiating.
Burial took place at Winamac Cemetery McKinley Addition in Winamac.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hickory Creek at Winamac.
