Bryan M. Conner

March 30, 1971 — Dec. 22, 2023

Bryan M. Conner, 52, of Star City, passed away on Friday, Dec. 22, at his home surrounded by his family.

Our Bryan fought the biggest fight of his life for two years - all the while as selfless as he was his only concern throughout his illness was his wife, children, and grandchildren.

He was born on March 30, 1971, in Winamac to Dick E. and Ruth Ann (Lutes) Conner. Bryan graduated from Winamac High School in 1990. He married Marla L. Lloyd on Dec. 25, 2005, in Winamac. Bryan was an electrical journeyman NIPSCO for 11 ½ years and was capable of repairing just about anything. He cared deeply for his NIPSCO family.

He was an avid hunter and NASCAR fan. Bryan was well-known as a practical joker and recently showed us how he could “bust a move.” He enjoyed walkabouts with his grandchildren on the family farm. Most of all, Bryan was compassionate, giving of himself and loving towards others.  We will miss him beyond comprehension.

He is survived by wife Marla L. Conner, Star City; sons: Robert [Jenny] Tirey, Winamac and Devin [Lindsay] Ball, Kewanna; daughters: Tiffany Maddox, Winamac, Dakota [Kyle] Garland, Winamac and Samantha [fiancé: Dakota] Conner, Star City; 11 grandchildren: Reagan, Jada, Aureah, Brantley, Justice, Ryker, Caleb, Grant, Hadley, Zeek and Van; mother Ruth Ann Conner, Star City; maternal grandmother Ruth Lutes, Star City; brother Andy Conner, Pulaski; brothers-in-law: Frank Lloyd, Jr., Pulaski, Elvin Lloyd, Winamac and Neal Lloyd, Winamac; several nieces and nephews; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Preceded in death by father Dick E. Conner; paternal grandparents: Marion and Violet Conner; maternal grandfather Jim Lutes; and mother-in-law Linnea Lloyd.
