Mark E. Stout
Mark E. Stout, 72, of Star City, passed away at 4:38 p.m., on Saturday, March 2, at Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne.
He was born on Feb. 13, 1952, in rural Winamac to the late Burl and Fern (Roberts) Stout. Mark graduated from West Central High School in 1970.
On Nov. 17, 1973, he married Sharron L. “Sherry” Korner. Mark was a loving husband and devoted dad. He supported his grandkids in all that they did. Mark greatly enjoyed family reunions.
Mark worked at Galbreath for 49 years where he made a lot of friendships over the years. He worked hard his entire life and was a talented welder. Mark had previously worked at US Steel, A & A Sheet Metal and FRATCO.
Mark attended Heartland Church in Winamac. He was an avid Mopar enthusiast and a dog lover (especially Belle). He enjoyed being outdoors especially mowing the lawn, fishing on Fletcher Lake, and working on his old Buick. He also enjoyed woodworking. Mark will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.
Survivors include wife Sharron L. “Sherry” Korner, Star City; sons: Ryan [fiancée: Ana Barraza] Stout, Rancho, California and Sean [fiancée: Melissa Humphrey] Stout, Star City; daughter-in-law Tricia Lowry, Kewanna; grandsons: Andrew Risner and Cooper Stout; granddaughters: Magdalen Stout and Kori Stout; sisters: Lovilla Tetzloff, Howe and Carol Pinks, Winamac; brothers: Leroy [Maggie] Stout, Star City and Devon Stout, Star City; sisters-in-law: Carol Stout, Crawfordsville and Kathy [Kirk] Good, Tyler, Texas; brother-in-law Jim Dunkel, LaGrange; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by parents: Burl and Fern (Roberts) Stout; in-laws: Robert and Mary (McClure) Korner; brothers: Arnold Lavon Stout, Lowell Thomas Stout and George Burley (Edris) Stout; sisters: Darlene Kay [Charles] Stout, Ruth Elaine [Bill] Oliver, Roberta Jo [Don] Johns and Shirley Fay Dunkel; brothers-in-law: Charles Pinks and Hugh Tetzloff; sister-in-law Bonnie Stout; nephews: Michael Jones, Leroy [Wanda] Stout, Jr. and Douglas Stout.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Thursday, March 7, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, March 8, at Heartland Church in Winamac, with Pastor Heath Hiatt officiating.
Burial will take place at Koster Cemetery in Francesville.
Memorial contributions may be made to Pulaski Animal Center or Warrior Youth Baseball or Star City Lions Club.
