Martha A. “Marty” Weaver

Martha A. “Marty” Weaver, 70, of Winamac, passed away at 3:32 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, at Pulaski Memorial Hospital in Winamac.

She was born Sept. 30, 1944, in Winamac, to Harry and Geraldine (Trapp) Poor.

Marty married Ronald E. Weaver on Feb. 23, 1963, in Winamac. Ron died Sept. 5, 2007. She and her husband were the former owners of Marty’s Place in Winamac.

Marty loved reading and enjoying the summer sitting at her picnic table. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

Survivors include sons: Bill [Sherry Fagner] Weaver of Winamac, and Larry [Lori] Weaver of Winamac; daughter Lisa [Korey Sosalla] Clemons of Winamac; grandchildren: Crystal Weaver, Brandon Weaver, Steven Clemons, Josh Weaver, Savanna Weaver and Danyelle Weaver; great-grandchild Reece Clemons; sister Mary Lou Bonnell of Winamac; and brothers: David [Julie] Poor of Williamsport, and Marshall [Judy] Poor of Winamac.

She was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Geraldine Thelma (Trapp) Poor; husband Ronald E. Weaver; sisters Eona Jefferies and Norma Steele; and brothers: Harry Poor Jr., William Poor and Robert Poor.

No services will be held.
